DAY 1

Morning pickup by open jeep at Dhangiri gate (entry point to the park) or the local hotel. Guest will be taken on a tour of the important spots during their one & a half hours drive to Dhikala. In fact this is one of the most exciting experiences & it is not uncommon to encounter a tiger or a wild elephant on the road, apart from other wildlife. Upon arrival, rooms will be assigned & lunch served & there will be a short briefing on the future programme.

3:30 P.M. Elephant back safari. Guest will ride on elephant back to explore the jungle & its wildlife like, wild elephants, deer, wild boar & if lucky the Royal Bengal Tiger. This exciting trip lasts for about 2 hours.

6:00 P.M. Tea at the local restaurant. After this, one has the option to watch a wildlife film show (on alternate evenings) or spend time in the library.

7:30 P.M. Dinner in the restaurant. After dinner, if you wish, our nature guide will brief you about the history of the park & other related wild life episodes. Your questions will be always welcome.

DAY 2

5:30 A.M. Wake-up call followed by tea or coffee, then proceed on a nature walk to the watch tower. This encounter on foot with the environment will introduce the main features of Corbett : Sal forest, open grassland & riverine jungle. The nature guide will help you identify some of the species of birds & other wildlife that you may encounter.

8:30 A.M. Breakfast

9:30 A.M. Jeep Safari. This one & a half hrs. ride takes you for a trip of the open grasslands as well as a ride deep inside the jungle for a distance of about 15 Kms. An excellent chance for the visitors for game viewing as well as photography.

Located just outside the tropics, the days in CORBETT are generally warm & require only light clothing. However from November to Feburary the early morning & evenings are quite cool & require a warm jacket. We recommend you to bring the following:-

1. Sun hat with glasses

2. Camera with film

3. Binoculars

4. Comfortable walking shoes

Bright colours (especially red, yellow & white) are very conspicuous in the jungle & we advice that when on jeep safari, on elephant back or on foot, you wear neutral coloured clothing.

Very special care is taken for your safety at all times. However, an element of risk remains in any outdoor adventure activity & we wish to remind our guests that they travel at their own risk.

There are no safe deposit boxes or any other money changing facility at DHIKALA & tourists are advised to make their necessary arrangements before they enter the park.
