Gardeners Report high levels of happiness-Princeton Study
 
Gardeners also report high levels of meaningfulness, especially for vegetable gardening
 
Ornamental gardening less so
Female and low- income gardeners, who often have a hard lot in life, reported high emotional well-being
Solo gardeners were just as happy as those with buddies
 
A study by Princeton notes that home gardening "is largely overlooked by policymakers".
 
As cities seek to become more livable and environment-friendly, activities like urban gardening (household and  
community-gardening) are receiving much attention.
 
Home gardening contributes to a livable city and quality food initiatives.
