Hyderabad to Bangalore via the NH44 is a grand 580-km route through the heart of the Deccan. On the way, there are many cultural and natural delights that curious travellers can partake in. The best way to do this is on one’s own terms. With self drive cars, travellers have total control of the itinerary and pace of the journey and they can enjoy the following detours on this famous route.

Anantapur and Gooty Fort

360 kms south of Hyderabad, Anantapur is one of the major urban hubs on this route. It is famous for its ISKON temple and its iconic Clock Tower, an intersection in the middle of the city. The ruins of the Gooty Fort are an important historical site in the Anantapur district. The fort has been passed through the hands of many dynasties, including the Chalukyas and the Vijayanagara Empire. There have been many battles in this site and eventually, it fell in the hands of Hyder Ali, and finally the British East India Company. A trek to the summit is a nice adventure that can be interspersed in the road trip. Highlights include an old Narasimha Temple and the old fort bastions that offer great views.

Temples of Lepakshi

Closer to Bangalore, one can pause at Lepakshi and admire its magnificent temples, perfect examples of the intricacies and fundamental designs of architecture from the glory days of the Vijayanagara empire. Cut from a single stone block, the Nandi statue is one of the most recognizable sculptures of Lepakshi and the adjoining Veerabhadra Temple is known for its paintings and carved walls and pillars. The temple is close to 600 years old and other points of interest here are the sculpture of Naaga, the serpent, and a giant footprint that deities believe is that of the monkey-god Hanuman.

Nandi Hills

Before entering the city limits of Bangalore, 60 kms north, one can enjoy a detour into the winding roads and pristine climes of Nandi Hills. The hills loom at over 1500 metres above sea level and travellers can enjoy dramatic views of the surrounding landscapes. Nandi Hills has firm historical importance – it is home to the summer palace of Tipu Sultan, one of the most famous warrior kings of India. It is also a major spot for hiking and bird watching. One can hop off the car and enjoy a little nature trail before completing the last leg of the journey.

What do travellers like when on a long trip? Privacy, security, and space would be on top of the list. More and more people are choosing self drive cars in Hyderabad as an option for their intercity transit. With app-based platforms like Zoomcar, one can choose from a wide range of cars and take advantage of affordable plans. 24/7 on-road support adds more convenience to the entire trip. This makes it is a favourite for long trips – other popular routes include Bangalore to Goa.

The journey from Hyderabad to Bangalore can become an event in itself. Get behind the wheel and indulge in the delights of the route.

Which was made by India’s 5th Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1639 Due to this fort being made of red or red colored stones, it is called Red Fort. But inside the fort is mostly white color. This fort is built on the Yamuna coast just like the Taj Mahal and the Fort of Agra. When Shah Jahan decided to move his state from Agra to Delhi in 1638, he constructed the Red Fort in Delhi. This was the reason for this. The height of this fort is 33 meters. It started making 1638 and completed in 1648.

Amazing Golden Triangle Holiday Tour

Golden Triangle India

So called because the tour route roughly makes a triangle.  New Delhi - Agra - Jaipur. But not all tour operators stick to this itinerary Ranthambhore, Bharatpur is added often. If so desired the tour is extended to  Udaipur and other destinations in the Rajasthan State.

Golden Triangle is one of the most popular package subscribed by the overseas visitors to India. The possibility of tiger is enhanced by the visit to Ranthambore while sightseeing at New Delhi, Agra and Jaipur is assured.

The tour culminates at New Delhi where a visit to Red Fort and Qutub Minar is organised. If the stay is extended then one can also visit Swami Narayan Temple, Humayun Ka Makbara and Bahai Temple. The temples are modern marvels while the rest are of the Mogul period. But then the Capital City has much more to offer to those who stay for a longer time.

The next destination is Agra an approximately six hour journey is carried out by taxi. This is convenient because you can see other places like Fatehpur Sikri and Red Fort at Agra besides Taj Mahal.

Jaipur is entirely different in all aspects. This is the State of valiant Rajput warriors and the Marwari business community. Stretched in the desert like other Rajasthani cities Jaipur is also known as the Pink City. The name is derived due to plethora of pink buildings all over.

The town has many architectural wonders to see namely the City Palace, Jantar Mantar and Nahargarh Fort. There are more such places in this town but a visit to the Havelis is also in the itinerary. These are houses of people with princely status and businessmen. They are wonderful and awe inspiring as the Royal residences and forts. The crux is the intricate art displayed inside and outside the structure. fresco, paintings, statues, unique architecture makes it worth a visit.

Next follows a six hour tour to Sawai Madhopur. This trip is for tiger safaris at Ranthambore to see the majestic animal. The chance to see the big cat in its natural habitat makes it a great holiday.

The package Golden Triangle ends at Ranthambhore in Rajastahan. You will surely enjoy this package tour and come for another visit.
