NGO Proposes Solutions for Stray Dog Menace (July Week #1 (2015))
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: At a time when stray dog menace has become a major issue in the city, Blue Cross Kerala, an NGO for Animal Welfare, has come out proposing solutions to tackle the issue.

In a communication sent to the Government Chief Whip, LSGD secretary, the director of the Animal Hunbandry department and ULB secretary, Blue Cross Kerala chairman K N Anandakumar pointed out that there is a need to bring to date the people on opportunities
available locally or that can be procured through support.

Monsoon happening in short, intense bursts: study (July Week #1 (2015))
The intensity of slow pulses of rainfall in the country has decreased over the past sixty years and is replaced by an increase in short, high intensity rainfall events known as extreme events, a study by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) has revealed.
